Muhammad Taqi Shushtari
Muhammmad Taqi Shushtari (Persian: محمد تقی شوشتری), who is famously known as Allahmeh[1][2][3]/Mohaghegh Shushtari,[4][5] is an Iranian Islamic scholar and a religious author.[6] This scholar, who is also well-known as "Sheikh-Shushtari"[7][8][9] and "Haj-Sheikh"[10][11][12] (specially) between people of Shushtar, was born in Najaf in 1902.[13][14] His father was (Sheikh) Muhammad Kazim Shushtari[1][15] and his great grandfather was Sheikh Jafar Shooshtari,[1][3] who was a famous Shia scholar.[16] He mentioned in his biography explanation that "my mother's parents were from the city of Kerman and were inhabitant in Najaf".[1][3] He finally passed away in 1995, and was buried in Shushtar.[17][18]

Muhammad Taqi Shushtari who is regarded as an Islamic scientist,[6] and educated in the seminaries of Iran, Najaf and Karbala,[19] had many prominent teachers, such as:
- Seyyed Muhammad Ali Emam (Famous as Imam-e-Shushtari)
- His Father (Muhammad Kazim Shushtari)
- Seyyed Mahdi Ale-Tayyeb
- Seyyed Ali Asqar Hakim
- Seyyed Hussain Noori

This Shia scholar had significantly contributed to hadith research,[6]and he presented several books. His personal home has been endowed as the library of Astan Quds Razavi;[23][24] he has many publications, such as:

- Bahj-al-Sabaqqah Fi-Sharh Nahj-al-Balaghah
- Al-Naj'ah Fi Sharh Lom'ah (11 volumes)
