Mural Pay was founded in 2022 by Sinclair Toffa and Chris Fernandes.[2] The company launched to address friction in cross-border payments, particularly in high-volume business transactions across emerging markets. Its initial focus included corridors between the United States and Latin American countries such as Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Brazil, and Argentina.
In August 2022, Mural Pay raised US$5.6 million in seed funding from Galaxy Ventures, Firstminute Capital, and 186 Ventures, among others.[3]
Products and Services
Mural Pay provides a suite of financial infrastructure through a platform and programmable API. Its products enable businesses to operate multi-currency treasury functions, conduct stablecoin transactions, and integrate with local financial networks.
Key offerings include:
- Global accounts: Multi-currency accounts supporting stablecoins such as USDC and USDT, allowing businesses to store, convert, and track funds securely.[4]
- Pay-ins: Enables global collections in stablecoins and local currencies through local rails such as ACH, SEPA, PIX (Brazil), and SPEI (Mexico).

The company is led by CEO and co-founder Sinclair Toffa. The leadership team includes professionals with prior experience at Palantir Technologies, McKinsey & Company, and DoorDash.[1]
