Murder Pamphlets

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Murder pamphlets are a mostly pre-twentieth century phenomenon, unbound booklets detailing in sober or sensational style the "true crime" story of a real murder. They were typically sold locally by the printer who made them, and through other outlets. They can contain various elements from narrative, descriptive, court transcripts and confessions. The author may be anonymous, but sometimes where a witness or the accused.[1]
