Rhonda Casto was an American model who was pushed off a cliff by her abusive boyfriend in 2009 while hiking on Eagle Creek trailhead in the Columbia Gorge. Some speculate that she jumped off or accidentally fell off the cliff.[1] The case received national attention and was broadcast on several television shows. Stephen Nichols was assumed to have pushed her off but they removed that charge after a plea deal was made.[2] Stephen fled to China while they were building the case, he would eventually be tricked into returning to the USA. Stephen was charged with negligence homicide and got sentenced to 19 months behind bars with 3 months probation. As of 2021, Stephen is out of jail.[3]

Rhonda Casto was born on July 2, 1985 in Galveston, Texas, she was raised by a single mother and one sister. Rhonda went to Ball High School and graduated in 2002. Rhonda started dating Stephen in her senior year. Rhonda married Stephen in 2006 and they had one daughter named Annie.
