Museum lovers day

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Museum Lover’s Day is a holiday observed annually on May 5.[1] According to Museums of the World, there are about 55,000 museums in 202 countries.[2] This list of museums is defined for this context as institutions (including nonprofit organizations, government entities, and private businesses) that collect and care for objects of cultural, artistic, scientific, or historical interest and make their collections or related exhibits available for public viewing. Museums that exist only in cyberspace (i.e., virtual museums) are not included.

Museum Lover’s Day celebrates these institutions, encouraging all communities to consider what holding space for history and creativity means.
