Museum of Barbarism
Museum of Barbarism, is a museum in Northern Cyprus in memory of Bloody Christmas.
On 25-26 December 1963 family of Nihat İlhan was murdered by Greek cypriots in Nicosia.[1]
Greek Cypriot irregulars forcibly entered the house of Doctor Ilhan, who was a Major in the Turkish army, and was on duty that night. The Doctor's wife, three children and a neighbour were killed by machine gun fire, and 6 neighbours were seriously injured. The house remains almost as it was found that time.
Adress[edit]
The Museum of Barbarism is quite a hike from the Old City, around 3km straight up Mehmet Akif Caddesi in the New City.
