Museum of Transitory Art

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

MoTA or Museum of Transitory Art is a non-profit organisation based in Ljubljana, Slovenia founded in 2007 as a part of the CodeEp Cultural Association program.[1]

The organisation is focused on research and production of transitory, experimental art and performance art forms as well as new media art. They own a collection of new media art pieces of artists like Zimoun, Stavinski, Karina Smigla, Jorge Rodriguez, Nik Nowak, Wolfgang Bittner, Andy Lomas, Stephen Cornford, and others.[citation needed] It functions as a museum without a permanent location and uses each time different spaces to organize exhibitions and events. The organisation also runs an artist-in-residence program and regularly organises lectures and workshops about artistic methodologies..

In November 2013, the MoTA opened a venue at Gosposvetska 12, in the centre of Ljubljana called The MoTA Point.[citation needed] MoTA organizes the Sonica Festival each year.
