Mustafizur Rahman

Mustafizur Rahman (born 8 December 1995) is a Bangladeshi environmental scientist, sustainability strategist, and technical author known for his contributions to atmospheric science, pollution control strategies development, molecular docking to identify the toxicity <ref> https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s44371-025-00244-6 <ref> of pollutants and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) reporting, advanced environmental modeling, and stakeholder engagement in the power generation sector. He is a technically skilled ESG and sustainability specialist, in compliance, benchmarking, and visual storytelling for corporate sustainability.

Early Life and Education

Rahman was born in Chandpur, Bangladesh. He earned both his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Environmental Science and Disaster Management (ESDM) from Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU). His academic focus included air quality modeling, microplastic toxicity, and climate resilience.

Career

In 2020, Rahman joined United Engineering and Power Services Ltd. (UEPSL), a subsidiary of United Group, as a Quality, Environment, Health and Safety (QEHS) Executive. In this role, he led the implementation of Best Available Technologies (BAT) for pollution control, wastewater treatment, and solid waste management across multiple power generation sites. He played a key role in aligning operations with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards, and developed centralized systems for environmental monitoring and audit readiness.
