Mutasa Clan is a clan that rules Mutasa Chieftainship in modern day era. In the past, it ruled Mutasa, first and second Dynasties of the Empire of Manyika. Mutasa used to belong to Shumba Samaita. However, due to the split of Mutasa brothers, one claiming to be of Shumba Samaita and the other of Mbizi Tembo, it led to several disputes in the Manyika Kingdom. The disputes led to the fall of the First Manyika Dynasty and the rise of the Chikanga Dynasty.
