Mutasa Clan is a clan that rule Mutasa Chieftainship in modern day era. In the past, it ruled Mutasa, first and second Dynasties of the Empire of Manyika. Mutasa used to belong to Shumba Samaita. However due to split of Mutasa brothers, one claiming to be of Shumba Samaita and the other of Mbizi Tembo, it led to several disputes in the Manyika Kingdom. The disputes led to the fall of First Manyika Dynasty and the rise of Chikanga Dynasty.
