The Multiword Expressions toolkit is a research tool that aids in the automatic identification of multiword expressions such as idioms (kick the bucket) and phrasal verbs (take off, give up) in large text bases, independently of the language. It is a natural language processing toolkit that aids engineers, linguists and lexicographers in finding relevant multiword units in texts for building machine-readable lexicons. It was developed in Python and is freely available for download and use under GPL License.
