MyDarkPlace is a Mental Health Community organisation, dedicated to promoting and raising awareness of mental health and how it affects young people. They also offer services to young people to help and support them to get the treatment they need. Most of their work is provided online except when they are helping young people in the community and supporting them with their care alongside other professionals.

History[edit]

MyDarkplace was founded on the concept that young people deserve better care than they currently receive. MyDarkplace believes that all young people should have someone who will fight for them when they may not be mentally fit to fight for themselves. The Founders of my dark place have had their own experiences within areas of mental health which is another reason they decided to found my dark place.

Official registration[edit]

While Currently, MyDarkplace is not a registered charity, they are planning on becoming by 2020, however, their main focus is to their service users. MyDarkplace is currently looking for trustees who would like to be on the board of trustees once they gain charity status.

Expansion[edit]

MyDarkPlace is currently working on setting up a youth club for young people who suffer from mental health and offer them individual services to support their recovery.
