MyNaPoint project

The MyNaPoint project (Japanese: マイナポイント事業 Hepburn: Mai Na Pointo Jigyō) is an expenditure vitalize policy and loyalty program practiced by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications for the purpose of popularize the Individual Number Card and electronic billing.[1][2]
The first project[edit]
On 3 September 2019, the Government of Japan announced a policy to consider the popularization of the Individual Number Card by granting the MyNaPoint and an expenditure vitalize policy following the increase of the consumption tax rate from the following month.[3] As project expense, 2.1 billion yen was appropriated to the supplement budget for FY2019 and 247.8 billion yen to the budget for FY2020.[4] Of this amount, approximately 200 billion yen is the source of the loyalty program, and approximately 50 billion yen is expenses.[4] This project will be entrusted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications to the Sustainable open Innovation Initiative for 35 billion yen, and will be repeatedly entrusted to several companies such as Dentsu.[2]
A consumer who have acquired the Individual Number Card can receive the MyNaPoint remuneration from one of the selected electronic billing services. The point will be rewarded 25% of the deposit or total purchase amount within the range of up to 5,000 yen.[4] This project will start accepting reservations and applications from 1 July 2020, the day after the end of the Cashless and Reward to Consumers project .
The second project[edit]
- At 2022, if a person has not reserved for the first project, they can reward the point correspond to up to 5,000 yen.
- If a person apply to use the Individual Number Card as a health insurance card, they can reward the point correspond to 7,500 yen.
- If a person registered an account to receive public money, they can reward the point correspond to 7,500 yen.
