myScience is a Swiss network of Web portals focusing on career and scientific research.
Purpose
myScience gives an overview of sciences, employment, funding, research areas, universities and national research news. It aims at providing practical information about mobility in research and daily life as well as the job portal jobs.myScience for scientists, engineers and academics.
History
myScience.ch was launched in May 2007[1] and took over some activities of the former portal Swiss-science.org. The latter was the Swiss portal for researchers in Switzerland from 1999 to 2005. The portal Swiss-science.org was maintained by the Swiss Confederation and the company Science Com.[2]
The magazine Anthrazit declared myScience.ch as being one of the 200 best websites in Switzerland in 2009.[3][4]
myScience® is a registered trademark of Scimetrica, Bern, Switzerland.[5][6]
Activity
myScience publishes news from various research institutions and universities. myScience.ch is regularly cited by Radio Télévision Suisse (RTS) and the online media outlet Watson.ch. For example:
RTS mentioned a myScience publication on neutrino research and the tactile and visual perception of objects.[7]
Watson.ch reproduced an analysis published on myScience concerning sperm quality in Switzerland (May 22, 2019).
Network
myScience is now present in the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. It also maintains an international website: www.myscience.org.
