Early life
Emily Rose Kafoury was born in Montreal, Canada. At the age of 7, she began taking violin lessons. From the age of 12, she has been trained both classically and in jazz studies. In high school, she took theatre and Broadway classes.[1]
Career
2014–present
In 2014, she released her first single "More" independently. She describes her music genre as Alt-Pop. "If you want to label it, because my music is not white, it's not black; it's grey. For smell, I'd say like, sea salt. I love that smell. It's fresh and it's distinctive. It's rare. And for taste, pizza. My music has layers."[1] Her most recent single, “Heavy Hitters”, went #1 in Quebec on the corresponding radio charts.[citation needed]
