General structural formula 2C, which serves as the backbone for most 25-NB compounds

NBOMes (or the NB series of compounds, i.e. derived from N-benzyl or N-benzylphenethylamines) are a class of compounds derived from phenethylamine with a benzyl substituent on the amino group; these may consist of a free benzene ring, a benzene ring with a methoxy substituent at the 2-carbon position (which accounts for the ‘OMe’ prefix in the name ‘NBOMe’), or other halogens (except astatine) and other functional groups, such as a methylenedioxy group. Furthermore, there are hybrid molecules within the NBOMe series; these may be hybrids of DOx compounds, scalines, occasionally FLY, and, even more rarely, compounds of the 4C series, NB compounds are based on the skeleton of substances from the 2C series (namely 2C-I, 2C-B and so on), but at the very least, the chemical structure may also be based on 2,3-dimethoxyphenethylamine, 2,4-dimethoxyphenethylamine, 2,6-dimethoxyphenethylamine and so on (including 3,2- and 3,4-, 3,5-dimethoxyphenethylamines); this may refer to:

  • 23-NB (23x-NBx, 23-NBOMes) (сompounds from the 23x-NBOMe class, such as 23H-NBOMe; compounds from the 23x-NBx class, such as 23H-NBBr, 23H-NBCl; atypical 23-NB compounds, such as 23H-NB345OMe.
  • 26-NB (26x-NBx, 26-NBOMES)
