NEFT Vodka is an alcoholic beverage company that produces the award-winning NEFT vodka. The company was founded by Katya Kuzmina in Austria in 2012. The company’s headquarters are currently located in El Segundo, California.
History[edit]
NEFT Vodka was founded by Katya Kuzmina in 2012 after she found an Austrian vodka distillery that was ideal for her product’s needs.[1]
In 2017, NEFT began selling its products in the United States.[2][3]
In 2018 and 2019, NEFT became one of two vodka brands to win a “Double Gold” status two years in a row after winning the “Best Vodka” award and receiving unanimous gold ratings at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.[4]
In 2020, NEFT Vodka ceived several more honors for their products, such as a Gold Medal from the Beverage Tasting Institute,[5] a Gold Medal in the Best Imported Vodka category from The Fifty Best,[6] and a Double Gold award from Best Tasting Spirits.[7]
NEFT Voska produced the livestreaming series NEFT After Dark, a Virtual Cocktail Party Series, which helped support bartenders who had been financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.[2]
NEFT Vodka also sponsored a filmmaking competition called the N.E.F.T.I. Competition in 2023, which showcased the work of international filmmakers from countries such as Eritrea, Algeria, and the Philippines.[8]
NEFT Vodka is currently available in 22 countries and 17 states. Jeff Mahony is the current CEO of NEFT.[1]
Product[edit]
NEFT vodka contains oxygen and minerals because the water filters through slate and granite within the Austrian Alps mountains.[1] NEFT vodka uses four types of non-GMO ancient rye grains, naturally filtered spring water, and a triple copper pot followed by a continuous column distillation process.[1][9] NEFT’s rye grains are sustainably harvested and hand-selected from suppliers in Austria, Germany, Netherlands, and Poland, and the company adjusts its vodka’s mash blend to account for each year’s harvest, preventing the use of additives and excessive harvesting.
NEFT comes in recyclable, portable, and shatterproof packaging that is designed to stay cold for six hours.[1][10]
Sustainability[edit]
NEFT has made a commitment to using eco-friendly production methods and sustainable practices as a company. When sourcing water from the Austrian Alps, NEFT uses a protected water supply and avoids aggressively blanching the water. NEFT’s barrel-shaped packaging also uses recyclable materials such as aluminum and tin, which is composed of 70% recycled material on average.[11] In the future, NEFT also plans to increase sustainability by using fully renewable energy, recycled condenser water, and dry-farmed grains.
Philanthropy[edit]
NEFT supports charities such as Project Angel Food.[1]
