NFL Black Monday
In the National Football League, Black Monday is considered to be the Monday immediately following the last Sunday of the regular season.[1][2] It is on this day that a plethora of head coach and sometimes general manager firings occur. Firings can happen for any number of reasons, but are usually due to a team's poor performance during the season. It is also the first day that teams searching for a head coach may request permission to interview coaches on teams that are in the playoffs, providing they have a bye in the first week of the playoffs.
