NGC 544 (also known as PGC 5253, GC 320, and JH 42411) is a lenticular galaxy with a Hubble sequence called E / SB0[1], it is located 263 million light years (≈80 Mpcs away) in the constellation of Sculptor located in the southern starry sky. It has been approximated to have a size of 25,000 light years. It has a gravitational bond with another galaxy called NGC 546. Two galaxies, NGC 534 and NGC 549 are located in the same location of the starry sky area.
It was discovered on October 23, 1835 by the British astronomer John Herschel.[2]
