Nahua religion

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

The Nahua religion is the reconstructred religion[1] of the ancient Aztec people.

Modern practice[edit]

After colonization, the only sources of the Aztec religion were either written by spared nobles after Spanish conquest of the Aztec Empire|Spanish colonization]] or read from ancient relics.

Reconstructed polytheistic religions heavily rely on historical facts. Therefore, the aspects of the religion practiced are what is known to history.

Furthermore, practices change in accordance to society laws, availability, and individual beliefs.

Human sacrifice is considered to be morally wrong & illegal within most modern societies. As such, most,if not all, believers of the Nahum religion refuse to do it.

Self-cutting is still done[2] by some individuals. It's uneccesary, but it's considered to be a good way to "get the gods to take you seriously".

Most practitioners are either solitary or based on an online group,[3] with no local group to attend to.
