The association is open to both undergraduate and postgraduate students studying nanoscience at the University of Jyväskylä. Nano ry provides a community for students, offering opportunities for both social and professional networking.

History[edit]

Nano ry was founded on February 24, 2024[2], during the founding meeting, following the separation of the nanoscience degree program into its own independent program in the fall of 2024. Students who started their studies before this separation are members of both Nano ry and other student associations such as Ynnä, Syrinx, and Radikaali. The association was created to represent nanoscience students more effectively, especially after the creation of the new degree program.

Activities[edit]

Nano ry organizes a variety of activities for its members, ranging from social events to student advocacy. The association’s events include social gatherings, excursions, and workshops or seminars related to nanoscience. Additionally, Nano ry works to represent student interests both within the university and in broader contexts.

Membership[edit]

Membership in Nano ry is open to all nanoscience students at the University of Jyväskylä. Students can join the association through its website. Membership provides access to the association’s events and benefits.
