Naraayan Pradhan
Naraayan Pradhan is a Nepali filmmaker, Writer, Director and media personality. He has worked across Brands and Advertising, short films, Documentaries and music videos, and has also been involved in film-related journalism and podcasting.
Early life and education
Naraayan Pradhan was born on 7 September 1989 in Kathmandu, Nepal. He completed his master's degree from Tribhuvan University.
Career
Pradhan began his professional career in branding and advertising before moving into film and later documentary projects. His creative work has included writing, directing and producing independent visual projects, including documentaries, short films and music videos. He also maintained a blog on Blogspot, where he published his early written work and reflections.
He has also contributed to film-related media and interviews. In 2015, he interviewed independent filmmaker Bhakta Chand for The Cinema Times in connection with Chand's documentary work.
Media work From 2024 to 2025, Pradhan served as the host of In Conversation with Narayan Pradhan, an interview series produced for the Cinema Central Studio YouTube channel. The series featured conversations with Cartoonz Crew and actors and media personalities including Shishir Siwakoti, Rakshya Thapa and Loonibha Tuladhar.
Pradhan has subsequently worked in music videos, Advertisings, Brand and short-form filmmaking. His credits include the music video Sapanako Ghar (2018) and Yo Doori (2023) as a Director
In 2026, Pradhan announced Sagun, a Nepali short film. The project was reported in Nepali film media and was described as a short-film project directed by Pradhan.
