Narikkuni Unnirikutty Vaidyan (1849–1909) was one of the earliest writers and poets.[1] He was born as the son of Rama in the family of Narikkuni in the land of Kunnamukulam Chevakulathur in Kozhikode taluk.[1] At the age of ten, he studied Sanskrit at home with his daughter - in - law Ramapanikaru, and astrology until his death. After the death of his father, the doctor went to Kozhikode.[2][1] On top of that he studied poetry as a disciple of Muthoran Ezhuthachun in Kozhikode. Later, with the help of a man named Pilasseri, a church was built there near the English Church. As he was very skilled in writing books, he copied the Adhyatmaramayanam and the clipboard in the oven. ”Even so, he made some money.[1] In order to engage in the traditional practice of medicine in his own family, he learned Ashtanga Heart and Charakasushruta scriptures from the great Chathunni Vaidyaro at Kattukandi Vattampoi and gained adequate medical experience.[1] Experts have also been instrumental in the publication of Uppot Kannan's Bhastra Commentary. 1049൭ Sanskrit scholars at Pillalathu Kerala Vidyalaya A. Venkatasubramaniam studied grammar, Takka and Vedanta.[1]
