Natalia Libet (born 6 December 1972 in Lviv, Ukraine) is a Ukrainian film producer with a background in co-production, investment, and finance, gained through her work with international companies, primarily of U.S. and German origin.[1] Since 2017, she has been active as a film producer and currently serves as a co-founder of the women-led production company 2Brave Productions, based in Kyiv, Ukraine.[2][3]
Libet is a member of the European Producers' Club,[4] the European Film Academy,[5] and the Ukrainian Film Academy.[6] She is an alumna of MIDPOINT Cold Open 2020,[7] EURODOC 2021,[8] LIM 2021,[9] Emerging Producers 2022,[10] and a fellow of the Nipkow Program 2023.[1] In 2024, she became a Film Independent Global Media Makers fellow.[11]
She previously worked as a producer with the Ukrainian film companies Digital Religion and ESSE Production House.[12][13]
Libet also serves as the Head of First Cut+, an industry program run by Tatino Films focused on the marketing and positioning of feature films in post-production.[1]
Before entering the film industry, she worked as a CFO and Finance & Administrative Director from 2002 to 2017, performing annual audits with Big Four firms.[12] She earned an MBA in the United States in 2002 as a recipient of the Edmund Muskie/Freedom Support Act Graduate Fellowship (2000).[12][14]

Film production
Libet's filmography includes several award-winning works.[15][16] Notable credits include:
- Stop-Zemlia (dir. Kateryna Gornostai), winner of the Crystal Bear from the Youth Jury at the 71st Berlinale Generation 14plus.[17]
- Timestamp (dir. Kateryna Gornostai), a documentary premiering in Competition at the 75th Berlinale.[18]
- Forever-Forever (dir. Anna Buryachkova), which premiered in the Orizzonti Extra section of the 80th Venice Film Festival[19] and later received awards including Best Film at FilmFestival Cottbus,[20] the FIPRESCI Award, and the Golden Tulip for Best International Film at the Istanbul International Film Festival.[21][22]

- Parthenon (dir. Mantas Kvedaravicius), premiered at the 34th Critics' Week of the 76th Venice Film Festival (as co-producer).[23]

Professional activities
Libet has served as a jury member at festivals including Bratislava's Febiofest (2019),[26] goEast in Wiesbaden,[27] the IDFA Forum in Amsterdam (2022),[28] Verzio in Budapest (2023),[29] and the Bosphorus Film Festival in Istanbul (2025).[30]
She has contributed as a project reader for the selection committees of HBF+Europe,[31] the IDFA Forum's Producers Connection,[32] and the Berlinale Co-Production Market (2023).[33]
In 2024, Natalia Libet served as the Head of Jury for the National Film Award in Latvia.[34]
In 2022, she was featured as a Producer Under the Spotlight at the Marché du Film.[35][36] In 2023, she was invited as a Special Guest of European Film Promotion's Producers on the Move at the Marché du Film.[37]
Mentorship and education
Natalia Libet has delivered masterclasses and lectures for film students and emerging professionals, including:
- Lectures and case studies at the Kyiv Academy of Media Arts (2019–2022).[38]
- In October 2024, she gave the lecture "Making it Happen: Film & Resilience" as part of the Baltic Women in Film Mentorship Program.[39]
- In November 2025, Libet delivered a lecture titled "How to Work in Turbulent Times" to emerging producers at Industry Tallinn & Baltic Event.[16]
