Natalie Popovich, known by her stage name Ivonna Cadaver, is an American actress who hosts Macabre Theatre, a weekly television show out of KDOC-TV in Irvine, California, that showcases independent horror films and up-and-coming talent in the horror film industry. Natalie Popovich created the character for the show Macabre Theatre. Natalie has become a staple on the red carpet for both the horror and rock-and-roll genre.

Early Life

Natalie Popovich started acting at a young age. She lived next door to the GM of WTOG in Tampa, FL.[1]

Career

1.1 KDOC

Macabre Theatre began broadcasting out of KDOC in Irvine, CA on October 31st, 2002.[2][3]. Natalie started out as the executive producer of the show. When they found that Butch needed a sidekick, she created the character to serve as co-host[4]. The show was hosted by Ivonna Cadaver and Butch Patrick AKA Eddie Munster. The two hosted the show together for 34 episodes before going their separate ways. Butch Patrick contributed a "Haunted Hollyweird" segment to the show.[5]

1.2 National Syndication

In 2005, Macabre Theatre was nationally syndicated[6] in multiple markets including on Fox, CBS, and NBC affiliates. It was also distributed through America One Network which was later acquired by YouToo America.

1.3 National Lampoon

In 2007-2008, Ivonna Cadaver produced “Ivonna Cadaver’s Macabre Radio” on XM Radio’s National Lampoon’s Comedy channel 156 . The one-hour radio show was hosted by Ivonna Cadaver and Kevin Couch. It highlighted celebrity guests, directors and producers as well as Ivonna’s Kick Ax Music Pix – the latest in bands, artists and behind the scenes interviews.

1.4 K-Earth

In October 2006 and 2007, Natalie partnered with CBS Radio’s K-Earth in Los Angeles for the Ex-Scream Home Makeover (2006) and the Ex-Scream School Makeover (2007)[7]. This was a Halloween contest that comprised of Ivonna Cadaver and her Hollywood Makeover Team as well as her celebrity guests. Winners received a "spooktacular" makeover of their home in 2006.

In 2007, a student from Marietta, California won and received a makeover of her home. Contestants were between the ages of 13 -17 or in high school. The event aired on Good Day LA as well as being live streamed on K-Earth's website. George Barris brought the Munster Coach to the event and gave the winner a ride.

1.5 YouToo America

Macabre Theatre currently airs weekly on YouToo America every Saturday night in 211 markets in 38 households.[8][9] New episodes began on October 27th, 2018. YouToo America is also available on Roku [10][11], Apple TV, Comcast, and live streaming on demand.

Natalie appeared on the cover of OC Weekly on February 13th, 2003[12].

Knott's Berry Farm Halloween Haunt 2007-2008

Natalie was featured in 2007 at Knott’s Berry Farm’s Halloween Haunt with special guest Butch Patrick and Lucas Rossi of CBS's hit show "Rock Star."[13]. Ivonna hosted the media event with over 200 media representatives present to watch as Ivonna kicked off the historic event on stage at the VIP party Sept 27, 2007. “Win a Dinner with Ivonna Cadaver at Knott’s Scary Farm” was the theme, with a contest giveaway of tickets to win a dinner buffet with Ivonna preceding the opening. Ivonna and her celebrity guests hosted a scream contest on the main stage for prizes and giveaways.

In 2008, Natalie was invited back to do Macabre Theatre's Live Stage show in the Boardwalk Room. 2008's show featured guests including Michael Rooker, George Barris and dancers from Cirque de Soliel including future World of Dance winner, Laurent Nicholas.

Guavaween

Natalie served as the Celebrity Guest Host for the nationally recognized event Guavaween on October 31st, 2009[14]. The 24th annual event was located in Tampa, Florida in Ybor City. Media coverage and interviews specifically for Ivonna Cadaver tagged as “LA’s number one horror host” included, NBC, Channel 8 Daytime, FOX 13 morning show. Ivonna Cadaver along with local character Mama Guava judged the 10 category costume contest. The band Sevendust headed up the main stage sponsored by 98Rock. Later in the evening Ivonna Cadaver also held a live musical performance of her infamous song “I Kissed a Ghoul” produced by Marcus Brown of AngelMuse. Before the nighttime festivities, Ivonna read the book “Hemophoblia” to children during Spooky Story Time at the daytime Family Fun Fest in Centennial Park.

CNN

Natalie appeared on an episode of CNN's Issues with Jane Velez-Mitchell where they discussed sobriety and the prevalence of addiction in Hollywood.[15][16]

NoHo Cinefest

Natalie served as the host for North Hollywood Cinefest's Horror Night in 2015 and 2016[17][18][19][20].

Catalina Film Festival

In 2015, Natalie represented the short film Hush on behalf of Michael G. Kehoe and Malek Akkad, franchise owner of Halloween.

RIP Horror International Film Festival

In 2015, Natalie was an honoree for the 3rd annual "Legend of Horror" award[21]
