Natasha Mudhar is the CEO of Sterling Media, [1] the multi-disciplinary, global business and communications consultancy. [1] She is also India Director for Project Everyone,[2] a not-for-profit organisation founded by filmmaker and United Nations SDG advocate Richard Curtis that seeks to support the Sustainable Development Goals.[2]

Based in London, Natasha is a campaigner and commentator on women empowerment, and works closely with a number of not-for-profits, NGOs and projects focused on international development.[3]

Career[edit]

Natasha’s career at the Sterling Group started after graduating University.[4]. The company was started in 1995. [5] Natasha’s campaigns include launching British automobile brand Aston Martin in India, and launching department store, Harrods, in the Middle and Far East.[6] In 2015, Natasha became the India Director for Project Everyone, a not-for-profit established by Comic Relief founder, filmmaker and UN SDG advocate Richard Curtis. Natasha manages the India strategy for the Sustainable Development Goals, a campaign that aims to popularise the Sustainable Development Goals to end poverty by 2030.[7] Natasha was part of the core team behind global launch of #WhatIReallyReallyWant, Project Everyone’s remake of the Spice Girl’s Wannabe video. The video was designed to raise awareness of female inequality and the global goals, which received over 150million views in a matter of a few days. She was recently awarded Video of the year at the DRUM Awards for the film. [8]

In 2016, Natasha was appointed to launch the Global Open Data for Agriculture and Nutrition (GODAN) Summit 2016 in New York. [9]

During her time at Sterling Media, Natasha has encouraged the recognition of Indian cinema in the UK,[10] and was singled out by Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival director Anupama Chopra for “ensuring the sound of Mumbai Film Fest is heard across the world”.[11] Natasha has represented Hollywood stars such as Al Pacino and Salma Hayek and Bollywood talent such as Akshay Kumar and The Bachchans.[12] She acted as consultant on the 2018 BBC Two series “Bollywood – The World’s Biggest Film Industry”.

2017 saw India’s inaugural ‘Festival of Education’ held in Jaipur. The festival, organised by GEMS Education and the Government of Rajasthan, was created to celebrate and discuss the future of education in Rajasthan.[13] Sterling Media managed the international communications for the event. During the second day of the Festival, Natasha Mudhar interviewed the Rt. Honourable Chief Minister of Rajasthan Vasundhara Raje as part of the expert panel sessions.[14]
