Nathan Morris is a British actor and voice artist best known as series regular Milo Entwistle in the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks.

Career[edit]

Nathan grew up in Leicestershire, entering talent competitons as a stand up comedian and impressionist from the age of eight.

He attended a local theatre school where he was a awarded a LAMDA ALAM Diploma in Acting. He then went on to study for a BTEC in Performing Arts in Lutterworth and a BA (Hons) at the Birmingham School of Acting.

Nathan writes and devise comedy in various genres and mediums and is currently writing a new TV Sitcom.

He recently starred as The Prince in Sleeping Beauty alongside Jenny Ryan from The Chase.

Hollyoaks[edit]

On 20th June 2017 it was announced that Nathan would join the cast of Channel 4's Hollyoaks as regular Milo Entwistle. He made his debut appearance on 27th June 2017 as a potential lodger for Cindy Cunningham (Stephanie Waring), Dirk Savage (David Kennedy (actor)) Holly Cunningham (Amanda Clapham) and Tom Cunningham (Ellis Hollins).

His character entered the village as quirky, love-able computer nerd, but was soon dubbed 'Mysterious Milo' as his behaviour hinted that there was more to him than meets the eye.

The character appeared in 96 episodes and on Milo's departure Nathan gave this statement to The Radio Times:

"In a funny way I don’t see it as the end of Milo’s story- he lived a tragic life and I’d like to think he’ll go away, get help and be given a second chance to be the kind, funny oddball that people loved. I couldn’t ask for a better storyline.

Nathan also presented many live videos for Hollyoaks Social Media with guests such as: Jamie Lomas, Gary Lucy, Sarah Jayne Dunn, Malique Thomson-Dwyer and Ross Adams.

Award Nominations[edit]

In 2018 Nathan was nominated as Best Newcomer at The National Television Awards and Funniest Man at the Inside Soap Awards.

He played the lead role in Duck! by award winning playwright Philip Osment, which was nominated for a Manchester Theatre Award.

He also was nominated for Best Actor at 24:7 Theatre Festival in Manchester for two consecutive years.

Acting[edit]

Other screen credits include: How to be a Prince (BBC), The Bill (ITV), BBC Bitesize, Springwatch LIVE! and Outings (Lemfilms).

He also made a small appearance in Dalziel and Pascoe (BBC) whilst at drama school.

He has performed at numerous theatres across the UK including: The National Indoor Arena, Bolton Octagon, Grand Opera House Belfast, Dundee Rep, Birmingham Hippdrome, The Lowry and Bradford Alhambra.

His devising and improvisational work include award winning productions with innovative interactive theatre companies such as Look Left Look Right, Colour the Clouds and Happystorm Theatre Company.

Voice Artist[edit]

Nathan has provided character voices for various animations and radio plays for the BBC, including: Romeo and Juliet, Larry the Lyre Bird, Sir Alvin the Brave and BBC Bitesize.

He's also worked as an impressionist, touring major theatres in the UK.
