Nathan Ssewaali is a Ugandan-born Canadian writer, mental health professional, photographer, cinematographer, public relations officer, creative designer and entrepreneur.[1][2]. He is a racial justice advocate[3], a child mental health and human rights activist[4][5].

Background and education[edit]

Born in Uganda, he obtained a Bachelor's degree in Information Science and Library at Makerere University[1]. He immigrated to North America at a young age where he became a dad[6]. He lived in Canada and acquired certificates from George Brown College, Seneca College and a photo school. He also obtained a Postgraduate diploma in Infants and Child Mental Health[1]. He worked with non-governmental organizations and in different government children's agencies across the world[7].

Career[edit]

On February 2022, Nathan wrote a denunciation essay about "Mental Health challenges in Black Communities"[8].

In May 2022, he published his first book concerning children's mental health entitled Lola and The Emotions Carousel, an educational story to "teach readers ways of managing their emotions"[9]
