Attack
On the night of June 6, 2021, Veltman allegedly rammed a pickup truck into a group of Muslim Pakistani Canadians, killing four and leaving one survivor. All of the victims were members of the same family.[1] The attack gained significant media attention internationally and was condemned by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau as an act of terrorism.[2]
Charges
The London Police Service charged 20-year-old Veltman with four counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted murder.[3] They believe he planned the attack in advance.[2]
