National Catholic Church of America
The National Catholic Church of America is an autocephalous Church of the Old Catholic tradition[citation needed] which falls within its own independent ecumenical jurisdiction.[1] It is headquartered in New York.[2]
Members of this church express the desire to offer people an opportunity to worship and grow together in a Christian community.[citation needed] The NCCA attempts to preserve the richness of their Catholic heritage, while reflecting the cultural diversity of western civilization.[citation needed] They see cultural and ethnic variety, scientific and technological advances, and opportunity to affirm human rights and dignity as fertile ground for the message of Christ for the whole world.[citation needed]
One[citation needed] of its orders is the Order of Saint John the Divine (OSJD).[3]
