Community involvement and sponsorship[edit]

National Leasing donates one per cent of its pre-tax profits to Winnipeg-based charities and non-profit organizations.[2] Annually, the company organizes a campaign in support of the United Way, [3] and the leasing company also allocates money to its more than 50 Account Managers across Canada to spend on various local causes.

National Leasing’s donation philosophy is structured primarily to support community development, education and health research and promotion. Community development donations support at-risk youth, attainable housing provisions and the promotion of arts and culture locally and nationally. Education donations support the encouragement and advancement of financial literacy, access to post-secondary education for at-risk youth, and curriculum development for business-related educational programs. Health research and promotion support children and youth-focused disease management health research and encouragement of recreation and physical activity for all ages.

National Leasing’s corporate culture has won the company several workplace awards. In 2012, Waterstone Human Capital recognized National Leasing as one of Canada’s 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures,[4] and Achievers recognized the company as one of Canada’s 50 Most Engaged Workplaces.[5] in 2014, National Leasing earned recognition as one of Canada’s best small and medium employers, an award Aon Hewitt has awarded the company for the last seven years.[6] The same year, Aon Hewitt recognized the company for its energy efficient head office and paperless electronic document management system with the Green 30 Award, marking National Leasing as the only Manitoba-based office to make the list.
