Introduction

Established in 1976 by Padmabhushan Awardees Dr(s). Raja and Radha Reddy and Kaushalya Reddy, ‘Natya Tarangini’ – Performing Arts Centre was started with an idea to globally popularize Kuchipudi style of Indian classical dance. 43 years since its establishment, Natya Tarangini has evolved from a simple Kuchipudi dance school with the aim of propagating the rich Indian heritage of dance and music into a unique arts institute encompassing all activities involved in preservation and promotion of Arts. Since Natya Tarangini’s inception, Drs. Raja and Radha continue the tradition of the art by teaching Kuchipudi in a systematized manner to young and promising pupils. Today it has become more than an institute across the globe having branches in Hyderabad, Gurugram and Delhi, under the watchful eyes of the Gurus Raja Radha Reddy, Kaushalya, Yamini and Bhavana Reddy. It is carrying on the training under the age-old “Guru Shishya” parampara. Our endeavour is that students are not only taught the skill but also get an opportunity to get familiar with the process of choreography and participate with their gurus in various concerts. Underprivileged, meritorious and deserving students are taught free of charge. Even physically and mentally challenged students are encouraged to take advantage of the institute’s services. Govt. allotted land in the year 2003 in Delhi which now acts as a headquarters to Natya Tarangini Performing Art Centre, having facilities such as Amphitheatre, Art gallery and Hostel etc for students from India & abroad. Natya Tarangini is highly praised as one of the premier dance institutions of the country. Outstanding disciples are selected to perform with the Gurus to further their interest, exposure and credits. The Raja Radha Reddy Repertory is very highly acclaimed performing both nationally at prestigious events such as Konark Festival of Orissa, NCPA Mumbai, Khajuraho Dance Festival, Kakatiya Festival at Warangal (Telangana) etc. and internationally in USA, Singapore, Europe, Malaysia and Kuwait.

Nandjeet Khemka Art Gallery

Natya Tarangini also promotes other art forms through its Art Gallery ‘Nandjeet Khemka Art Gallery’ wherein the Paintings / Sculptures of various artists are displayed.

Music Classes

At Natya Taragini, both Hindustani vocal and Carnatic music are been taught. Around the 12th century, Hindustani classical music diverged from what eventually came to be identified as Carnatic classical music. Hindustani music places more emphasis on improvisation and exploring all aspects of a raga, while Carnatic music is primarily composition-based. The central notion in both these systems is that of a melodic mode or raga, sung to a rhythmic cycle or tale.

Yoga Classes

Yoga’s motto is simple: a healthy mind inside of a healthy body. This stands for a lot of what yoga can do for you, including helping you to let go of stress, help the pain in your back or other areas of your body, and even help you shave off a few extra pounds. Yoga allows the yogi to concentrate their body and soul into one, performing the act as one individual that is sure to meet your needs.
