Naureen Youssef (born 22 January 1989) is an Model.[1], author[2][3], poet and beauty queen[4][5][6]. She was crowned Miss Planet Egypt in 2019[7][8] and is the first Miss Planet Winner from Egypt that was crowned while being a mother[9]. Her writing inspiration is drawn from feelings of love and heartbreak and addresses themes of love, friendship, honesty, and identity. Her first self-published book Bits & Pieces[10] that recounts Youssef’s journey through poetry and short stories[11][12][13].
Early life and education[edit]
Youssef was born on 22 January 1989 in Copenhagen, Denmark, to Abla Sayed and Medhat Mahmoud. Youssef also has one brother from both parents Omar Youssef. Her daughter, Talia is everything to Youssef and she always says she is her protector and blessing in life[14]. Youssef started modeling in her 20s while working. She graduated from university in September 2005 with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration majoring in Marketing[15]. She is fluent in Arabic and English, she also knows some Italian.
Pageantry[edit]
Miss Planet Egypt 2019
Youssef began her pageantry career representing Egypt in the Miss Planet Egypt 2019 competition[16], which she won[17]. As Miss Egypt, she went on to represent Egypt Miss Planet International in February 2019, held in Cambodia, Phnom Penh[18][19][20][21][22]. This platform helped Youssef to inspire single mums and divorced women to remain motivated and focused on their goals[23][24][25][26][27].
