Nayanika Mahtani is an Indian author[1] and screenwriter. She has recently co-written the story and screenplay for a Hindi film on the mathematical genius, Shakuntala Devi,[2] whose role is played by Vidya Balan.
Early life[edit]
Nayanika Mahtani spent most of her childhood in Kolkata, India where she attended La Martiniere school. She is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
She now lives in London with her husband and daughters.
Career[edit]
Nayanika Mahtani has worked as an investment banker with ANZ Grindlays and JP Morgan in Mumbai.
She is the author of 3 novels for Young Adults and children: Across the Line (2019), The Gory Story of Genghis Khan (2017), and Ambushed (2015), all published by Penguin Random House. Her book Across the Line is in the Honors List for 2020 of the South Asia Book Award.
