Nayanova university was founded in 1988.
The permanent rector of the university, from the date of its foundation, is Nayanova Marina Venediktovna.
The conception of education in the university is founded on the model of developing uninterrupted education. It includes 7 stages. Each of the stages corresponds to the level of educational programs (preschool, primary school (1st-4th grades), primary continue (5th-7th grades), secondary education(Full school), the higher education, postgraduate study, doctoral studies). All the programs work out of the base of the state educational standards. Graduates of university besides the state high education diploma can receive the diploma in a speciality "An interpreter in a sphere of professional communications".
All the lessons of the High Education Stage took place in the second housing of the university.
Due to uninterrupted education idea, there are grades in marking university groups (e.g. "13 Г", means 2nd-year student of the economical faculty (see below)) instead of year of education.
Like in school, marking the group with the letter means here belonging group to the corresponding faculty. It uses in high grades of school too (from 8th up to 11th grade).
Academy license can be checked with Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science.[1]
Educational program
- stage – preschool: for children since 4 and up to 6 years;
- stage – primary school (1st-4th grades);
- stage – primary continue (5th-7th grades);
- stage – secondary school (pre profile and profile): 8th-11th grades with the pieces of the program of high education;
- stage – high education: 12th-15th (16th) grades – complete high education;
- stage – postgraduate study: postgraduate study, doctoral studies, additional education, various kinds and levels of training;
- stage – the multifunctional: continuous education as a vital need.
History
Academy was founded in 1988 as Laboratory of Psychological and Pedagogical Research at Kuibyshev State Pedagogical Institute. On May 15, 1989, converted to Basic School-Laboratory of Kuibyshev State Pedagogical Institute. In February 14, 1990 transformed in College of Kuibyshev Scientific Center of the USSR Academy of Sciences.[2]
In 1992 college students participate in forming items for Space Flight Europe-America 500 goodwill mission.[3]
On July 13, 1993, transformed in Samara Higher Municipal College. On September 4, 1993, transformed in Samara Municipal Complex of Continuing Education Nayanova University. At the same time Higher education stage was opened.[2]
In 1998 according to journal Career (Placed first in popularity index of Managers Association as monthly journal. Held a leading position in the group of monthly business/financial publications in the TNS Gallup Media rating [4]) university placed #12 in a list of "One hundred best universities of Russia".[5]
In 2003 university team share 21st place at World Finals of The International Collegiate Programming Contest.[6]
On November 7, 2008, by returning in the regional education system was renamed as Samara State Oblast University (Nayanova). In 2010 changed status and renamed as Samara State Oblast Academy (Nayanova).[7] [2]
In 2013 Moscow Center for Continuous Mathematical Education and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation included academy's faculty of General Education (primary, secondary school & early specialization stage) in TOP-500 Russia Schools.[8][9]
In October 2018 academy lost its accreditation for all programs of higher education [10] and students were given a choice to continue their education in other state universities (most of them in Samara State Technical University and Samara National Research University). According to regional minister of education academy (as of February, 2019) undergoes transformation into a non-standard educational institution for gifted children. [11] [12]

Since 2011 Academy is part of network of associated UNESCO schools.[16]
Academy is certified partner of Goethe-Institut with programm PASCH-SCHULEN: Partner der Zukunft.[17]
Publications
Since very beginning academy publishes journal started as "College", latter named "University circular". [18] [19]
Since 2000 academy publishes a newspaper for students learning French. A newspaper is recommended by Department of Culture of the French Embassy in Russia.[20]
Since 2005 academy every year publishes a collection of best theses by students and teachers alike made on annual scientific and practical conference "Science. Oeuvre." in early april.[21]
University housings
The First housing (I housing)
The housing has an address: Samara, Chapaevskaja St., 186.
It is opposite to the Officers house (through Worker St.) on the Kuybyshev Square face to face with the Samara Opera and Ballet theatre.
The first housing does preparation of students on preschool and primary school (2nd and 3rd stages) (0 - 7 classes).
After transferring in the second housing the students select specialisation of their educational program.
The Second housing (II housing)
The housing has an address: Samara, Molodogvardejskaya St., 196.
The building was initially built for Second female gymnasium and took about 3 years (from 1909 to 1912) to complete.
At the time of World War I building contained the 96th General Emergency Hospital.
From 1930 to 1941 the building hosted School #30.
At the beginning of Great Patriotic War, the building was put in the disposal of a special group of the NKVD in connection with the impending transfer of the capital of the USSR from Moscow to Kuibyshev.
From February 1, 1943, till October 1, 1945, building hosts hospital for evacuees #3999 with trauma surgical and prosthetic and orthopedic profile. One of the patients was a prototype-hero of The story of a real man - Alexey Maresyev.
From 1945 till 1993 Kuibyshev Regional Hospital for the Disabled of the Great Patriotic War was located in the building.[22]
In 1993 building was transferred to the Nayanova University.
It is on located the side of street Molodogvardejskaja closer to the Volga between Ulyanovskaja St. and a student's lane, between Samara state architectural university and the House of the scientists.
In this housing pre profile and profile stages of this educational model, high education department and postgraduate educational stages situated.
School stages (8-11 classrooms) are situated on the first floor of the housing.
The high school department(12-15 (16) classes/groups) is situated on the second floor.
The Third housing (III housing)
The housing has an address: Samara, Molodogvardejskaya St., 135.
It is on the side of Molodogvardejskaja St. long-distance from the Volga, on the intersection with Ulyanovskaja St. The university occupies a part of the ground floor of a building which is predominantly a block of flats.
Earlier having lecture rooms, this housing has now exclusively administrative value.
Here the personnel department, office and accounting service place.
At the end of July of 2009, all employees were transferred to Molodogvardejskaya St., 196 building.
In February 2010 university was given a new building located at Yarmarochnaya St., 17.
