Nazi-Maoism

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Nazi-Maoism was a political movement in Italy[1][2][3][4][5], similar to the political ideology of National Bolshevism in the sense that it combined ideas from both the far-left and the far-right - specifically the ethnic-nationalist, ultra-nationalist, and xenophobic views of Nazism, and the military strategy and anti-capitalist ideas of Maoism[6]. The movement was formed around 1968[7]during the period in Italian history known as the "years of lead" by students at the Sapienza University of Rome, and was popularised by a political group formed in the university known as "Struggle of the People".[8] The Nazi-Maoist movement mostly faded away with the dissolution of People's Struggle in 1973, however, some forms of Nazi-Maoism continued to exist after the group's dissolution. The prominent Italian Neo-Fascist writer, political activist, and alleged terrorist Franco Freda has been described as a Nazi-Maoist[9][10] and was one of the main ideological contributors to the Nazi-Maoist movement, his ideology being one of the main influences on the Struggle of the People group.
