Nazih Fares (born November 6, 1986), aka King Ozimandus, is a French-Lebanese esports, video game professional and former video game journalist. He is the founder of VGProfessional.com alongside the VGP Radio Show, a platform for gaming journalists and professionals.[1]

Career

Fares started his career in 2003 for publications such as Time Out Beirut, T3 Middle East and At7addak.com.[citation needed]

He has covered several games-industry events, including the reveal launch of Assassin's Creed III where he interviewed the game's lead writer Matt Turner, but also conferences including E3 and Gamescom.[citation needed] Fares has interviewed Yves Guillemot, Noah Hughes, Tore Blystad and others.[citation needed] Gamescom 2012 was his last appearance as a gaming journalist. He resigned from his post as Editor-in-Chief of At7addak.com and accepted a job offer as a PR Executive at Pluto Games.[2][verification needed]

In 2014 he created VGProfessional.com, a compilation of successful video game industry professionals to share their work. He currently is the Editor-in-Chief of the website and writes under the author name of King Ozimandus. It has a seasonal podcast show, produced and co-hosted by Fares, Mazen Abdallah and Luciano Rahal, known as The VGP Radio Show.[citation needed]

After his career in video gaming journalism, Fares was hired by Pluto Games to handle public relations for international gaming publishers and manufacturers including Mad Catz, Xbox, Bethesda Softworks, 505 Games, NCSoft, Capcom, Konami, Disney Interactive and Tecmo Koei, for Middle East countries (UAE, KSA, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Lebanon, Jordan, Oman and Egypt).[citation needed]

In February 2014, Fares left Pluto Games to join Power League Gaming, the oldest esports operator in the Middle East, as Head of PR & Marketing.[3] He has been managing the Marketing and Public Relations activity in regards to publishers such as Activision Blizzard, Warner Bros, Ubisoft, EA Sports and more.[citation needed] Nazih Fares was featured in Le Commerce Du Levant as one of Lebanon's "To Watch For" young entrepreneurs and tech professionals.[4]
