Neelam Kumar Phull, also known as N.K. Phull, is an Indian actor who has performed in films as well as television serials. He has been awarded by the Culture Ministry of India and various organizations.

Overview

N.K. Phull hails from a family of Poonch (Dist. of Jammu and Kashmir), later shifting to Jammu. He started his career in 1979 by joining a theatre workshop organized by J&K Academy of Art & Culture. After graduation he got his first break in Gul Gulshan Gulfaam, a 1989 Doordarshan television serial directed by Ved Rahi and produced by Prem Krishen (Cinevistaas), which was one of the first serials to be based in Kashmir. He has also worked in the film Sardar Patel (Dir. by Ketan Mehta), Prakarmi (Dir. by Vijay Deep). This earned him many offers, but even at that time he did not take up anything that came his way. On the contrary, he has always preferred to wait and do fewer but more meaningful roles. In the coming years he was approached with roles of his choice and thus serials like Dilliagi (Zee TV) Dir. By Sharad Saran, One to Ka Four (Zee TV) and more.

He has also started making short films, serials and documentaries for channels as a Director and Producer.

He was also awarded a Senior Fellowship in the field of Culture for the year 2009−10.
