Neer
Neer Ya is an author of debut novel Vanilla Hour. She began her writing journey cutting her teeth as a featured child writer in the Time of India, Patna in late 1990s. Whilst she later did not pursue a career in writing and moved to research arm of telecom; she has been writing for over 20 years now. Vanilla Hour is her first fiction work.
She has always been creative in her ideas and execution and for her debut novel she partnered with Cloud Road Music to create an original soundtrack for the book : Vanilla Hour Theme[1]

She is one of the first digital and AI experts in her field. Almost always being one of the only or first woman all through her academic and professional life.
By profession she is a techie and a banker at HSBC. As a neurodivergent woman of colour, living with long term auto immune disease and being from a multicultural family; informs her work. She brings her lived experience and deep empathy into all her work.
She has always been a strong practitioner and spokesperson on Human rights, anti-trafficking, women and neurodivergence empowerment.
During Covid she also ran an initiative of Adopt a Daily Wage Worker activating her professional and personal network to help out the daily wage workers in India
She is in her 40s and lives with her child in Hong Kong.
