Neftekamsk Ice Palace of Sports (Russian Нефтекамский ледовый дворец спорта) is an artificial ice arena located in the city of Neftekamsk, Russia. Its capacity is 2,000 seats and it was opened in early 2007. It is the home arena of the Russian ice hockey club Toros Neftekamsk, playing in the SHL.
Construction
In 1988 the Toros Neftekamsk hockey team was founded. For a long time, it did not have its own venue, then an indoor skating rink was constructed. Unfortunately, in 2006, the team was evicted from the rink. Hockey players of Neftekamsk had no place to play and train. On May 2, 2006, the first stone of the palace was laid. Thanks to uninterrupted funding and the goodwill of the leadership of the republic, the palace was built in record time – 6 months. Already on the eve of the new year 2007, the palace was opened.
