Neil Robertson is a gymnastics coach, who is retired from competing as an artistic gymnast on the Scottish national team[1]
Junior career[edit]
Robertson began competing at an early age. At under-11 boys level he was part of a team that won bronze at a British development event at Lilleshall in 1999.[2]
In 2005, he won the under-18 British Individual Apparatus event on the horizontal bar at the British Gymnastics Championships in Wigan.[3] Following this success, he was picked to be on the British Senior Men's Artistic Gymnastics Squad - the first gymnast from Midlothian to do this.[3]
Robertson was named the Scottish national men's artistic gymnastics champion in 2006.[4]
Senior career[edit]
Robertson came third in his first appearance at the Scottish national men's artistic championships in 2008[5]
Coaching[edit]
In 2013 he joined Lasswade Gymnastics Club as a coach, with several of the boys receiving a national call-up the following year.[6]
