Neo Shifters

Neo Shifters is a line of buildable robot action figures distributed by Mega Brands in 2005. The line released for three years until it was discontinued and replaced by Neo Machines in 2008.[1]

A millennia ago, satellites from Hydraxx-Tor crashed on the planet Skandar, a cybernetic virus mutated with fuel from the satellite wreckage called Hydrax, spawning a sentient intelligence; Neozomes. The Neozomes created transforming mechs called Shifters, and are powered by the same Hydrax fuel. Civilization quickly flourished as cities are built. When water begins to run out on Skandar, a group of Neoshifters led by Magna::Rex explore the rest of the planet to find more resources. The explorers split up into groups and Magna::Rex goes with Terra Sphere. Along the way Magna::Rex and Terra Sphere begin to clash as Terra::Sphere uses up their dwindling water supply. Magna::Rex discovers a cave and explores it only to become trapped. Terra Sphere uses the opportunity to betray Magna::Rex and leave him behind. Terra Sphere begins recruiting Neoshifters for his faction of Templars and leaves Skandar to begin their conquest of Hydraxx-Torr. It is now up to the Paladins to stop the Templars.[2]
