History
The idea for Nepali Roots originated from discussions among Nepali professionals living in Germany who were interested in creating a platform for professional networking and collaboration. Early conversations began after an online interaction between members of the Nepali community discussing the possibility of organizing professional networking events in Munich.
A group of Nepali professionals later met informally in Munich to explore the idea further. Participants in these early discussions included Sandeep Bastola, Jitendra Kasaudhan, Kritan Gautam, Paribartan Humagain, Dinesh Poudel, Prakash Subedi, and Suman Simkhada. During these meetings, the group discussed creating initiatives to support Nepali professionals in Germany through networking opportunities, knowledge sharing, and community engagement.
The name Nepali Roots was proposed during the early planning phase and was adopted by the founding members as the identity of the initiative. The concept reflects the idea of maintaining connections with Nepali cultural and professional roots while building networks abroad.
Members of the founding team later completed the legal and administrative procedures required to establish the organization as a registered association in Germany, including preparing the association's constitution (Satzung) and completing registration with German authorities.
