Nesbit Chriss Bentley (16 April 1928 – 5 August 2019) was a Fijian sailor. He competed alongside John Gillmore in the Finn event at the 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne.[1]

According to Olympedia, Bentley was born in Suva as the son of shipbuilder Alexander Bentley. His grandfather, Harry Bentley, was an English expatriate. Bentley's first job was with the Fiji Postmaster General, and he met his wife, Ilva, while attending a course in Melbourne. He was a member of the Suva Yacht Club and was selected for the 1956 Games as one of Fiji's first Olympic delegation. Bentley later moved to Australia and worked for Telecom Australia. He and his family resided in Silvan, a Melbourne suburb, until his death in 2019.[1]
