Nesta Silvera (born January 23, 2000) is a collegiate American football defensive lineman for the Miami Hurricanes.

Early years[edit]

Nesta attended American Heritage High School in Plantation, Florida. As a senior in December 2017, he was the only player to make the early commitment to UM but not sign during the early signing period. Instead opting to wait for National Signing day in February and make what is now regarded as the "re-birth of the Gators/Hurricanes in-state rivalry" when he entered the signing ceremony with the University of Florida chucky doll a tradition started by former Gator Dominique Easly only to sign with the University of Miami and send social media into a frenzy with his remarks made about his new in-state rivals.[1]

Nesta was a four-star recruit and ranked as the number fifty four overall recruit in his class by 247 Sports.com and the third best Defensive Lineman byScout.com.[2][3]

On February 7, 2018, Nesta committed to Miami University to play college football.[4]
