Nestaway
Nestaway Technologies Pvt. Ltd., popularly known as Nestaway, is an online managed home rental network that provides accommodation for bachelors and families.[1]The company was founded in January 2015 by Amarendra Sahu, Deepak Dhar, Jitendra Jagadev, and Smruti Parida.[2][3] Nestaway provides shared rooms, full rooms and full homes for rent through their app and website.[4][5] Users can opt for unfurnished, semi furnished or fully furnished houses.[6] The app can be used to avail on-demand services such as home repairs and maintenance.[7]
Product Overview[edit]
Nestaway can be accessed through either its website or mobile phone application, available for Android and iOS. The app enables tenants to find, book and move in to a rental home across the Indian cities where they operate.[8][9] Apart from allowing prospective tenants to browse through various properties and make a booking, the app enables storage of information like rental agreements and rent receipts. Through the app, tenants can pay the monthly rent, security deposit and raise requests for service and maintenance issues.[10]
Rent and Security Deposit[edit]
For shared homes, the rent paid to Nestaway includes monthly rent, furnishing charges, apartment maintenance charges in case of gated communities, cable and wireless installation charges basis availability. [11]. Tenants are required to pay separately for recurring charges such as monthly water, electricity, cooking gas, cable and wireless services, cooking and cleaning.[12] Tenants are charged 2 months’ rent as security deposit.[13][14][15]
Services for Owners[edit]
The company handles documentation and drafting the legal agreement, rent collection and offers a rent default guarantee to its owners.[16][17][18] Homeowners are provided an insurance of up to Rs.1 crore in case of damages during a tenant's stay.[19]
