Net-C (also known as NetCourrier) is a French webmail made by Mail Object, a company based in Saint-Maur-des-Fossés, in Val-de-Marne.[1]

Technique

Net-C offers webmail, synchronization with many protocols (POP, IMAP, Exchange ActiveSync, etc.), an agenda, and a virtual disk. Mobile software are also available (iOS, Android and Windows Phone).

Protection against malwares, spam, and phishing are offered through a partnership with the company Vade Secure.[2] The webmail also provides an auto-unsubscribe button for newsletters.

Offer and economic model

Net-C works as a freemium software. The free tier gives free email addresses, 5 aliases, 500mo of cloud storage while displaying ads in the webmail interface. The paid tier costs 1€ per month and gives 100 aliases, 10go cloud storage, and no ads on the webmail.[3][4]. It also offers plans aimed toward families, associations, and public services.[5]

Apart from the webmail, Net-C sells domain names and hosting of websites.

Positioning

Net-C presents itself as the protector of the personal data of its users.[6] All data are hosted in servers located in France carried out by a company called Écritel.[7]
