Netblen Notebook is a free secure notebook web app with encryption enabled by default. The app is local-first, privacy-first by design, and has quite adequate number of features that regular users should need. The app is convenient to use without registration or authentication.

Encryption[edit]

Encryption is by default on Netblen Notebook, it uses Web Crypto API AES-256 supported by all modern browsers. Encryption is done before saving to any connected storage.

Graph-based Data[edit]

Netblen Notebook runs on its own graph-based data management core which is in turn running on IndexedDB. The core is designed as a service for multiple web apps to be able to access the same data.

Tree View[edit]

Tree view UI is the main navigation UI of the app. The tree view UI has multiple trees erected from the connections between notes, and users can select start points of navigation.

Drag-and-drop Note Organising[edit]

Netblen Notebook UI design is modern, with drag-and-drop feature to organise notes and contents.

Multiple Types of Ordering[edit]

Tree view UI has multiple modes of ordering items, currently seen on the app as A-Z order, and manual order.

Multiple Types of Contents[edit]

Similar to other block-based rich text editors or online services, Netblen Notebook has multiple blocks per note and multiple types of blocks: Table, formula, image, headings, code, numbered items, checkboxes, etc.

Synchronisation[edit]

Synchronisation is available, which allows users to edit the same contents on multiple devices. The main synchronisation mode of the app is synchronising with a cloud folder.
