Netflix Games is a video game subscription service offered by Netflix for Android and iOS devices. It launched globally on Android on November 3, 2021 and on iOS on November 9, 2021. Netflix Games is included with a Netflix membership. All games in the service have no ads or in app purchases.[1][2] As of June 2022, there are 22 games available in the service.[3] The games are available in the games tab of the Netflix app for Android and iOS.[2]

Netflix announced that it would be acquiring mobile game developers Night School Studio on September 28, 2021[lower-alpha 1], Next Games on March 3, 2022 for €65 million ($72 million), and Boss Fight Entertainment on March 24, 2022 as part of its expansion to mobile games.[4][5][6][7] Night School Studio is best known for its games Oxenfree.[7] Next Games is known for its titles for Stranger Things and The Walking Dead, and Boss Fight.[6]

Features[edit]

Netflix Games allows members to access its games with no advertisements, no additional fees and no in-app purchases using their Netflix profiles. Members can use the same account on multiple devices until they hit their device limit. The games in the service are available in multiple languages and will default to the preference set in the Netflix profile being used. The service offers games that don't require internet access.[1][2]

Netflix Games is not available on kids profiles.[1][2]
