Netherite is a rare material in the sandbox video game Minecraft, added in The Nether Update. It was added into the game on July 1, 2020[1].
Gameplay[edit]
Netherite is obtained by mining in Minecraft's Nether Dimension. It is found by locating Ancient Debris, a rare block in the game, and smelting it[2][3].
Netherite ingots can be used to upgrade any diamond tool to a Netherite tool in a smithing table[4][5]. Turning diamond tools into netherite tools will make them lava and fire resistant[6][7][8].
