Neuro11
Neuro11 is a German company founded in 2019.[1]. The founders (Dr. Niklas Häusler, Patrick Häntschke and Fabian Steinberg) have university educations in neuroscience, psychology, sports science and business administration, as well as a background in professional football[2][3]. Throughout their university educations and careers, they have published several scientific peer-reviewed articles[4][5]. The company was initially funded by the EXIST scholarship of the German government and European Union in collaboration with the University of Bonn[6][7]. Since the summer of 2021, neuro11 has been working with the English club Liverpool FC under Jürgen Klopp[8].
Pioneering work and successes to date
Since the summer of 2021, neuro11 has been the first company in the world to apply neuroscientific methods (EEG neurofeedback) to elite football[9][10].
In February 2022, neuro11 helped Liverpool FC win the penalty shootout in the final of the English EFL Cup[11]. In May 2022, they additionally won the English FA Cup together with Liverpool FC through another penalty shootout[12]. With the academy of Liverpool FC, they won the Lancashire Senior Cup in May 2022[13]
